Epidemiology Workshop for EU Arbo-Zoonet and ConFluTech Projects at FU Berlin from November 30 to December 4, 2009 successfully accomplished!
Under the motto “Introduction to the Epidemiology Toolbox”, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Jabbar, Veterinary Infection Biology and Immunology, Forschungszentrum Borstel, Leibnitz-Zentrum für Medizin und Biowissenschaften, Germany, invited 14 partner scientists from projects in Asia (China, Iran, Irak, Armenia, Turkey, Syria) and Europe (UK, Spain, Italy, Greece, Germany ) to attend a workshop at Berlin. Prof. Dr. K.-H. Zessin and his colleagues Zessin of the International Animal Health at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Freie Universität Berlin executed the one week workshop.
Although the programme was quite packed the participants not only appreciated the short introduction to basic epidemiological features and, in particular, to its practical and useful applications but also enjoyed the good “group spirit” in and outside of the classroom.
